Safeguarding our children is the most important aspect of our provision.

Safeguarding includes: 

• Protecting children from maltreatment​
• ​Preventing impairment of children’s mental and physical health or development​
• ​Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care​
• ​Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes​

All of our staff and governors are trained in how to identify and respond to safeguarding concerns. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead​ (DSL) holds responsibility for dealing with ​
child protection issues, providing advice and support to other staff,​ liaising with the local authority, and working with other agencies.​

Our DSL is​ our Headteacher, Miss Maria Ackland. In her absence our Deputy DSLs can fulfil the DSL responsibilities. Our Deputy DSLs are Mr Isaac Haskell and Mrs Jenni Pridgeon.
