Our TLC Vision and Values
Our Vision
Through our Christian Values of Thinking with Thanksgiving, Learning with Love and Caring with Compassion, we will create an achievement culture for all, pursuing high expectations and promoting positive attitudes to learning.
Through our engaging curriculum we will develop the whole child, meeting the needs of each individual to prepare them for their future.
I can do all things through Christ because he gives me strength.
(Philippians 4 v 13)
Our Christian Values
Thinking with Thanksgiving
Appreciating and considering our gifts as a blessing from God, we will try to:
- Develop our independence
- See the good in ourselves and others
- Use self-regulation and make good choices
Learning with Love
Developing aspiration and attitudes that help us focus in the present and give us hope for the future, we will try to:
- Be resilient and learn from our mistakes
- Forgive ourselves and others
- Love learning together
Caring with Compassion
Following Jesus’ example, respecting and valuing differences in our community, we will try to:
- Have integrity and be a good friend
- Respect and look after the environment
- Seek opportunity to help those in need
Our children are helped to understand the biblical values of Thanksgiving, Love and Compassion through the following stories:
T - The Thankful Leper (Luke 17 v 11-19)
L - The Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15 v 11-32)
C - The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10 v 25-37)
